The main issue affecting fixture planning in the very lower grades this season has been uneven ground availability. Some dates offer ample venues, while others are severely limited—resulting in congestion and situations where teams that should be playing at home are displaced.

A decision has been made to start the ODJ season on 18 October. However, both 11 October and 18 October present challenges, with only two grounds available for four scheduled matches on each date. To manage this, the following adjustments have been proposed:

•              11 October: Phoenix v Willetton to be played at Ferndale 2

•              18 October: Leeming v Roleystone to be played at Queens Park, alongside the rest of Round 1

For 8 November, the match between Piara Waters v Roleystone currently has no allocated ground and has been scheduled at Ferndale 2 as a fallback.

On 29 November, the Kardinya Lakes v Armadale fixture at Bill Ellison Reserve is showing a clash with a Suburban Turf match. This will require further review or reassignment.

On 28 February, Piara Waters v Thornlie also lacked a ground. As Harrisdale is available and Piara Waters has previously played there, the match has been placed at that venue.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as these scheduling challenges are addressed.
