PENALTY

Report:

P&D after the SMCA received a claim that Kelmscott played a player under an assumed name in Fourth Grade last Saturday 24 February 2024 The claim is that Narender Khokhar, named in Kelmscott Fourth Grade last Saturday, was not in fact Narender Khokhar but someone using his name.

Tribunal notes:

Also in attendance - James Taylor and Blake Kilgallon from Kwinana Steve Abbott produced photo ID for Narender Khoklar the Kwinana representatives stated that this look nothing like the player who played Saturday. Steve said it was the player who played. Steve stated that the player left early after being run out and was unavailable for the rest of the season. Kwinana confirmed this. An outside source in a statement said he was with him in the afternoon when he was playing cricket. The Panel advised them that they will defer their decision pending more information from Kwinana and a statement from Narender which should have been provided. The time for that is by 5,00pm Friday 1/3. Without new and more detailed information the panel stated that they may not be able to make a judgement either way. It was stressed that we were taking this very seriously because if the ramifications of the verdict. One this is received we will make the decision however unless Kwinana can prove it beyond doubt we are inclined to dismiss the allegation.

Penalty:

on 1 March 2024 the PP&D decided there was nothing definitive that was presented to say that a player was playing under an assumed name. It was decided to dismiss the claim and let the match continue as it would have otherwise.
