JPCC captain RB advised that TCC were playing (blaring) their music and that it was distracting to the batters and scorers. One JPCC member (Mark Jardine) said that music had no place in these games and wanted the association to not allow this to happen. JPCC advised that they requested the music to be turned off and made no mention of entering TCC's changeroom or touching/handling the oppositions private property.
The incident came to a head when a runout wasn't given out. AJ alleged that MG threatened him with a stump. This caused both teams to be tense and player behaviour beyond this point wasn't acceptable (yelling at each other, abusive language being used). This resulted in JPCC captain Ron Black (RB) taking his players off the field, as he didn't believe that staying on the field was any longer an option. RB believed that players would begin to assault each other.
JPCC have left the field of play, not contacted the Match Day Referee and their general conduct in the match was poor, bordering on bringing the game into disrepute.
JPCC advised that several TCC players were excessively appealing and were crowding/swarming umpires, when decisions were made against them. The non-striking batter at the time of this incident, Khon Mu, advised that TCC player/s started to be abusive toward him during this event. Khon Mu 's disposition and evidence provided were very concerning, stating to the effect of "I know if this goes any further I was going to start hitting people".
JPCC admitted that they voluntarily took their players off the field, due to the rising tension, and they deemed that the game was over.
JPCC were advised by the P&D Panel that these scenarios are best to be sorted out by the Match Day Referee and that their behaviour was unacceptable.
